Job summary

Banner Engineering's Aberdeen Plant is seeking Electronic Assemblers to assemble electronic systems and support structures using soldering irons and hand tools. You'll work under the Production Manager and help ensure quality through testing and documentation.

The role focuses on reading drawings, following SOPs, and maintaining production reports in a dynamic manufacturing setting. This entry-level to mid-level position offers training and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of basic math/calculation's required.
• Must be able to read and understand English.
• Ability to use a computer, hand tools, gauges and testers.
• Attention to detail and quality.
• Ability to work independently and in a group setting.

Responsibilities

• Assemble subassemblies and/or final product following instructions from matrix documentation and SOPs.
• Place, wire, solder, and utilize hot soldering iron to connect and encapsulate PC boards and/or units.
• Test, label, package, and deliver to stockroom.
• Adjust, repair, or replace electronic component parts to correct defects and to ensure conformance to specifications.
• Read and interpret drawings, work orders, and reports in order to determine materials requirements and assembly instructions.
• Position, align, and adjust work pieces and electrical parts to facilitate wiring and assembly.
• Complete, review, and maintain production, time, and component waste reports.
• May confer with supervisors or engineers to plan and review work activities, and to resolve production problems.
• May explain assembly procedures or techniques to other workers.

Position Summary

Electronic Assemblers are responsible for assembling electronic systems and support structure through the use of a soldering iron or other hand tools to install components, units, subassemblies, wiring, and assembly casings.

This position reports to the Production Manager

According to the FLSA (Fair Labor Standards Act), this position is classified as:

What You'll Be Doing

• Assemble subassemblies and/or final product following instructions from matrix documentation and SOPs.
