Job summary

Banner Engineering is seeking a hands-on assembler to build electronic systems and subassemblies. You will solder, wire, inspect, test, and package units following SOPs and drawings at our Brooklyn Park, MN facility on second shift (3 pm–1:30 am)."

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, basic math skills, and the ability to read English; comfort with microscopes, gauges, and hand tools is required. Safety and quality come first in this manufacturing role.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Knowledge of basic math.
  • Must be able to read and understand English.
  • Ability to use a computer, hand tools, gauges, and testers.
  • Attention to detail and quality.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to sit for up to 8 hours per day to perform hand solder with hot soldering iron, inspect boards under a microscope, make simple repairs, etc.
  • Uses microscope for precision work and to perform inspections.
  • Perform simple hand grasp and dexterity required to solder, encapsulate, correct defects, hold tools, etc.
  • Ability to move, carry, or lift objects weighing up to 30 pounds frequently.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble subassemblies and/or final product following instructions from matrix documentation and SOPs.
  • Place, wire, solder, and utilize hot soldering iron to connect and encapsulate PC boards and/or units.
  • Test, label, package, and deliver to stockroom.
  • Adjust, repair, or replace electronic component parts to correct defects and to ensure conformance to specifications.
  • Read and interpret drawings, work orders, and reports to determine materials requirements and assembly instructions.
  • Position, align, and adjust work pieces and electrical parts to facilitate wiring and assembly.
  • Complete, review, and maintain production, time, and component waste reports.
  • May confer with supervisors or engineers to plan and review work activities, and to resolve production problems.
  • May explain assembly procedures or techniques to other workers.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job description

In this role, you will be responsible for assembling electronic systems and support structure with a soldering iron or other hand tools to install components, units, subassemblies, wiring, and assembly casings. Openings are currently available on second shift (3 pm-1:30 am) at our Brooklyn Park Facility.

What You’ll Be Contributing

Pay Range: $20.92‑21.97

The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job‑related reasons.
