Job summary

Banner Engineering has an opening for an Electronic Assembler at our Aberdeen Plant. The role involves assembling electronic systems and support structures using soldering irons and hand tools, following documented procedures, and labeling and delivering finished units to stock.

You will read drawings, test boards, and troubleshoot defects under supervision. The position reports to the Production Manager and is classified as non-exempt.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic math/calculation skills required.
• Must read and understand English.
• Able to use a computer, hand tools, gauges and testers.
• Attention to detail and quality.
• Able to work independently and in a group setting.

Responsibilities

• Assemble subassemblies and/or final product following instructions from matrix documentation and SOPs.
• Place, wire, solder, and utilize hot soldering iron to connect and encapsulate PC boards and/or units.
• Test, label, package, and deliver to stockroom.
• Adjust, repair, or replace electronic component parts to correct defects and to ensure conformance to specifications.
• Read and interpret drawings, work orders, and reports to determine materials requirements and assembly instructions.
• Position, align, and adjust work pieces and electrical parts to facilitate wiring and assembly.
• Complete, review, and maintain production, time, and component waste reports.
• May confer with supervisors or engineers to plan and review work activities, and to resolve production problems.
• May explain assembly procedures or techniques to other workers.
