Job summary

Ascension is seeking a Neurodiagnostic Lab EEG Technician at Ascension St. Vincent Indianapolis Hospital in Indianapolis, IN.

This on-site, full-time night-shift role supports EEG procedures in the Neurodiagnostic Lab, including electrode connections, patient prep, artifact correction, and result transmission to physicians. The candidate will maintain EEG equipment, review records, and ensure quality control while adhering to licensure standards.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider required within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
• ABRET Neurodiagnostic Credentialing & Accreditation preferred.
• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• Certificate from an accredited Neurodiagnostic program and at least one year of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Attach, connect, and operate electrodes from specified body areas to leads from the electroencephalograph machine.
• Review the patient's record and instruct patients before procedures. Monitor patient during procedures and report any abnormal findings.
• Identify and correct for artifacts. Edit and forward results to the attending physician for analysis and interpretation.
• Maintain EEG equipment and supplies.

What minimum qualifications you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Electroencephalographic Technician credentialed from the ABRET Neurodiagnostic Credentialing & Accreditation (ABRET) preferred.

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Additional Preferences:

• Certificate from an accredited Neurodiagnostic program
• At least one year of experience preferred
