Job summary

Actalent is seeking an Electromechanical Technician in Boulder, CO to support building and integrating production and R&D equipment onsite. The role combines mechanical assembly, electrical wiring, and control-panel construction to move concepts from research into manufacturing.

You will work closely with engineering and R&D teams in a fast-growing startup environment. This contract-to-hire position is onsite, with a pay range of $22.00–$27.00/hr and benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience assembling industrial equipment in manufacturing or lab settings.
• Wiring of sensors and electrical components for process systems.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, schematics, and P&IDs.
• Onsite work in chemical manufacturing and R&D environment, with chemical exposure.
• Experience with hydraulic systems and stainless steel tubing.
• Experience supporting R&D or prototype equipment builds.

Responsibilities

• Assemble production equipment and experimental hardware for R&D and manufacturing.
• Build equipment directly from drawings, schematics, and P&IDs.
• Perform electrical wiring of sensors and instruments.
• Construct and troubleshoot control panels for production and testing.
• Assemble hydraulic systems and stainless steel tubing with Swagelok.
• Integrate mechanical, electrical, controls, hydraulics, and process components into systems.
• Troubleshoot issues and support root-cause analysis.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation and lab records.
• Collaborate with engineering and R&D teams on prototypes.
• Help transition equipment from R&D to manufacturing.
• Follow safety protocols and use PPE.
• Support DoD explosive applications projects per safety guidelines.
