Employee Workplace seeks an experienced Electromechanical Technician in Valencia, CA, for a hands-on R&D role in a lab and engineering setting. This temporary, onsite position requires strong electronics assembly, soldering, prototype development, cable assembly, and troubleshooting skills.

The role focuses on building and testing prototypes, interpreting schematics, and supporting engineering teams with verification activities.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent related experience.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in electronics assembly, R&D, engineering support, or laboratory environments.
• Advanced soldering and electronic rework skills.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
• Experience using multimeters, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and related test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, modify, test, and repair electronic and electromechanical prototypes.
• Perform precision soldering and desoldering of through-hole, SMT, and fine-pitch components.
• Build and modify cable assemblies, wire harnesses, and test fixtures.
• Support engineering teams with prototype builds, verification testing, and product development activities.
• Troubleshoot electrical and electronic systems using schematics, drawings, and test equipment.
• Conduct electrical rework on circuit boards and replace electronic components as needed.
• Verify product functionality using multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and other laboratory equipment.
• Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering documentation.
• Maintain quality standards while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
