Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker in East Longmeadow is seeking an Electromechanical Technician to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical, electronic, mechanical, and vacuum systems on our machinery. You will interpret complex drawings, use precision instruments, and work with PLCs and VFDs, while applying NFPA 70E safety practices.

Requirements include an accredited apprenticeship or two-year electronics college, 1–3 years of experience, and a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

Equivalent to a complete accredited apprenticeship or equivalent to a 2-year technical college education in electronics (analog and digital).
Trained in electrical safe work practices with emphasis on NFPA 70E.
1-3 years previous experience.
High School diploma or GED equivalent.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, repair and maintain electrical, electronic, mechanical, and vacuum systems for machinery.
Use advanced trades mathematics with drawings, specifications, charts and tables, and precision measuring instruments.
Proficiently use DMMs, Meggers, data logging instrumentation and other measuring devices.
Work with sensors: temperature, flow, pressure, voltage, current and others.
Utilize PLC programming software, VFD setup, troubleshooting and commissioning.
Knowledge of instrumentation and controllers.
