Job summary

Birmingham Search Group is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician for our Battle Creek, MI facility. You will perform preventative maintenance and repair of machinery used in Electronics Assembly, read mechanical drawings, and collaborate with technical support to troubleshoot equipment issues.

The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, basic electrical and hydraulic knowledge, and at least 3 years in a technical or mechanical position, with opportunities for overtime.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and equipment manuals.
• Experience with troubleshooting electronics and PCB to component level.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with technical teams.

Job description

• Responsible for preventative maintenance and repair of the machinery in Electronics Assembly
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, equipment manuals, etc.
• Must have good communication skills
• Must be able to work with technical support groups for troubleshooting equipment issues
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair printed circuit boards to component level
• Available for daily and weekend overtime
• Experience with IA and other robotics programming and problem-solving.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Basic electrical knowledge
• Basic knowledge of mechanical systems
• Basic understanding of hydraulic systems
• Three (3) + years in a technical or mechanical position

OPTIONAL/PREFERRED SKILLS:

• Five (5) + years in a manufacturing environment
• Pass Mechanical Aptitude test
• Preventative maintenance experience
• VTI experience
• Molding and coatings experience
• PLC/Robotics programming

EDUCATION REQUIRED:

High School Diploma or GED
