Job summary
Sharp Packaging Solutions, a unit of UDG Healthcare plc, is seeking an operations technician to support setup, maintenance, and operation of high-speed automatic packaging equipment. You will perform electromechanical troubleshooting and ensure compliance with cGMP standards in the production area.
You will collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams, train new operators, log process data, and help maintain calibration and sensor systems.
Qualifications
- Windows Word, Excel, Outlook proficiency and PC literacy are essential.
- 4 years of industrial automation/packaging experience required.
- Willingness to learn new systems and expand knowledge is mandatory.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair machine breakdowns with maintenance and engineering teams.
- Operate packaging equipment to support daily operational activities.
- Assist in training and developing new machine operators and mechanics.
- Record data into process check sheets.
- Troubleshoot and adjust sensors, online printing, barcode scanning, and OCR/OCV vision equipment.
- Verify calibration status of measurement gauges including temperature controllers, thermocouples, air and vacuum gauges, and timers.
