Job summary

Stryker Corporation in Kalamazoo, Michigan is seeking an engineer to design and implement manufacturing processes for electromechanical assemblies, supporting product transfer and production readiness across the lifecycle.

You will develop and maintain engineering documentation, execute development, qualification and validation activities, and apply statistical tools to drive quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement in a regulated setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience developing or implementing manufacturing processes for electromechanical products or assemblies.
• Experience creating and maintaining engineering documentation, including procedures, process risk assessments, or validation documentation.
• Prefer: experience with process development, transfer, or new product launch in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and their application in a production environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement manufacturing processes for complex electromechanical assemblies to support product transfer and production readiness.
• Develop, refine, and maintain engineering documentation, including SOPs, process risk assessments, manufacturing work instructions, and validation protocols.
• Execute process development, qualification, and validation activities while ensuring compliance with quality management system requirements.
• Analyze manufacturing performance data, apply statistical and engineering tools, and implement process improvements to support quality and efficiency.
• Partner with R&D, quality, regulatory, clinical, marketing, and PM teams to support new product introduction, process setup, and manufacturing scale-up.
