Job summary

Torrey Holistics in Fraser, MI is seeking an Electromechanical Maintenance Specialist to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair plant equipment, focusing on motors, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical controls, conveyors, and injection molding assets to minimize downtime. Responsibilities include fault isolation, preventive maintenance, and documentation of PM logs, with OSHA/ANSI safety compliance.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of hands-on troubleshooting for injection molding machinery and related secondary equipment.
  • Robotics and PLC proficiency with program troubleshooting.
  • Industrial electrical knowledge; strong grounding in machinery, hydraulics, pneumatics, and HVAC.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and procedures; interpret complex instructions.
  • EOAT design/fabrication and valve gate design/installation experience is advantageous.
  • Must pass written and practical testing to operate hi-lo; forklift certification required.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair plant equipment, facilities, and grounds.
  • Identify mechanical or control issues using observation and test equipment; disassemble as needed.
  • Service electrical gear and control systems; close out work orders promptly.
  • Provide personal tools; ensure PMs are executed and documented.
  • Comply with OSHA/ANSI standards and safety protocols.

Electromechanical Maintenance Specialist – Plastics ManufacturingYour missionSafeguard equipment reliability across motors, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical/electronic controls, conveyors, and injection molding assets—so plant downtime due to equipment issues stays at 10% or less.Key outcomesRapid fault isolation and repair to restore production safely.Preventive maintenance executed and documented on schedule (PM logs/books complete, auxiliary equipment tagged on completion).Accurate quality-compliant maintenance records and parts requisitions processed with required approvals.Consistent sitewide equipment safety checks and compliance with OSHA/ANSI standards.Core responsibilitiesMaintain, troubleshoot, and repair plant equipment, facilities, and grounds.Use observation (including sound) and test equipment to identify mechanical or control issues; disassemble as needed to access faulty components.Verify part dimensions/tolerances; repair, adjust, or replace components and control instruments; clean, lubricate, and test-run machines.Service electrical gear and control systems; complete maintenance request forms and close out work orders promptly.Provide personal tools appropriate for the role.Compliance note: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
