Job summary

DOC SERVICES is seeking motivated Electromechanical Field Service Technicians to perform preventive and reactive maintenance on equipment inside big box retail stores. Technicians work from a home base and travel to customer sites, responding to service calls and documenting work with handheld devices.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, at least two years of repair experience, strong electrical/mechanical knowledge, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum two years of equipment repair experience or training.
• Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge; ability to read schematics.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and call management software.
• Valid driver's license with good driving record and proof of insurance.
• Satisfactory background check required.
• Written, verbal and electronic communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform billable maintenance and repair on electromechanical equipment.
• Abide by OSHA, customer and DOC safety regulations including PPE.
• Respond to service calls within customer expectations and DOC requirements.
• Provide documentation via handheld device.
• Order parts and manage inventory.
• Travel to and from customer locations, arrive prepared with tools and parts.
• Evaluate preventable service problems and educate customers as directed.
• Other duties as needed.
