Job summary

DOC Services Inc. is seeking Electromechanical Field Service Technicians to perform maintenance and repairs on electromechanical equipment inside big box retail stores across the US.

Technicians work from home and respond to service calls, with travel to customer locations as scheduled by the DSM. The role requires two years of repair experience, strong electrical/mechanical knowledge, the ability to read schematics, and strict adherence to safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum two years of equipment repair experience or combination of training and experience.
• Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge; ability to read and understand schematics.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and call management software.
• Know and understand safety regulations required as it relates to equipment repair.
• Strong organization skills; self-motivated and detail oriented.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record with proof of insurance.
• Satisfactory background check is required.
• Maintain a professional appearance and behavior, and a positive attitude.
• Written, verbal and electronic communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform billable work by maintaining, troubleshooting and servicing equipment.
• Abide by OSHA, customer and DOC safety regulations including PPE requirements.
• Respond to service calls within customer expectations and DOC requirements.
• Provide documentation as required by customer and DOC through handheld device.
• Perform cost effective service and repairs while maintaining quality.
• Seek out technical support while onsite to avoid delays.
• Be reachable by phone for reactive service repairs as needed.
• Order correct parts and maintain inventory for quick access.
• Arrive on-time with tools, parts and safety equipment.
• Travel to and from customer locations and perform inventory reconciliation.
• Return parts as requested and follow instructions timely.
• Evaluate preventable service problems and educate or advise customers.
