Job summary

Airgas Waterford, CT is hiring an Electromechanical Repair Technician. The role focuses on maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical and mechanical welding equipment, including inverters, transformers, and automation systems.

You will travel to customer sites, perform preventive maintenance, and provide NIST-traceable calibration on Airgas equipment and products. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, 2+ years of related repair experience, and proficient

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years of electrical/electronics repair experience.
• Proficient with Google Suite and Microsoft Office.
• General mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read manuals and schematics.
• Willingness to travel locally (85% of time) and occasionally stay away overnight.
• Valid US driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Repair, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical, mechanical, and control functions of welding equipment.
• Repair engine drives, inverters, transformers, and automation equipment.
• Maintain parts inventory and document hours for customer billing.
• Travel to customer sites for diagnostics, maintenance, and calibration.
• Calibrate Airgas equipment to NIST traceability standards.
• Log calibration/PMs and coordinate with vendors, customers, and sales staff.
• Ensure safety, organize workflow, and obtain customer signature on orders.
