Airgas in Waterford, CT is hiring an Electromechanical Repair Technician to maintain, troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical and control systems on welding equipment for Airgas and customers. The role travels to customer sites to diagnose issues and perform PMs, calibrations, and spare parts integration.

Requires a high school diploma or GED, 2 years repairs experience, proficiency with Google Suite and MS Office, and strong mechanical aptitude.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years of prior related electrical/electronics repair experience.
• Intermediate knowledge of Google Suite and Microsoft Office.
• Must have general mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to plan a logical troubleshooting approach.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical and control functionality of welding equipment.
• Repair engine drives, inverters, transformers and automation equipment.
• Maintain inventory of parts and supplies and document work hours for billing.
• Travel to customer sites to diagnose issues, perform PMs and calibrations.
• Manage and secure diagnostic equipment and tools; ensure safety and organization.
