Job summary

Veterans Prime, Inc. is hiring a Field Service Engineer – Electromechanical in Indianapolis, IN. This full-time, travel-based role offers $80,000–$120,000 a year plus benefits.

You will diagnose, repair and support CNC machinery, install and test performance, and train customer operators while traveling regionally to customer sites. Ideal candidates have a 2-year technical degree or equivalent experience, strong troubleshooting, and the ability to read schematics.

Qualifications

• 2-year technical degree or military equivalent in mechanical/electrical fields.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot industrial equipment and read schematics.
• Experience with diagnostics tools and PLCs is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and independent work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, software, and hydraulic/pneumatic issues on CNC machinery.
• Install and test post‑installation performance of equipment.
• Train on-site operators in machine function, maintenance, and safety.
• Document service activity, diagnostics, parts and resolutions.
• Travel regionally with overnight stays to support customer sites.
