Job summary

Lumicity is seeking an hands-on Electromechanical Engineer to design, integrate, prototype, and transition electrical and mechanical hardware for advanced electronic and optoelectronic products. You will collaborate across engineering and manufacturing teams to deliver manufacturable hardware from concept through production.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in a relevant field and strong experience with PCB integration, CAD tools, and test/diagnostic scripting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Hands-on experience developing and integrating electromechanical hardware.
• Experience integrating PCBs, components, interconnects, and mechanical structures into manufacturable hardware.
• PCB design and layout using Altium, KiCad, OrCAD or similar tools.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks or equivalent 3D CAD software.
• Experience selecting electronic components from datasheets and supplier resources.
• Hands-on hardware assembly, debugging, testing, and characterization.
• Python or similar scripting for test automation or data analysis.
• Strong problem-solving across electrical, mechanical, thermal, and manufacturing disciplines.
