A growing technology company is seeking a hands‑on Electromechanical Engineer to design, integrate, prototype, and transition to production electrical and mechanical hardware for advanced electronic and optoelectronic products.
What You’ll Do
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- years of relevant industry experience developing and integrating electromechanical hardware.
- Demonstrated experience integrating PCBs, electronic components, interconnects, and mechanical structures into functional, manufacturable hardware.
- Hands‑on experience with PCB design and layout using Altium Designer, KiCad, OrCAD, or a comparable EDA tool.
- Proficiency with SolidWorks or equivalent 3D CAD software.
- Experience selecting electronic components and materials using datasheets, supplier resources, and distributor databases.
- Experience with hands‑on hardware assembly, debugging, testing, and characterization.
- Experience using Python or a similar scripting language for test automation, data analysis, or engineering workflows.
- Strong practical problem‑solving skills across electrical, mechanical, thermal, and manufacturing disciplines.
- Ability to work effectively in a hands‑on development environment and collaborate across engineering and manufacturing teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with RF or microwave hardware, high‑frequency interconnects, or signal‑integrity concepts.
- Experience with controlled‑impedance PCB design, S‑parameters, or VNA measurements.
- Familiarity with HFSS, CST, or similar electromagnetic simulation tools.
- Experience with hybrid, optoelectronic, semiconductor, or advanced electronic packaging.
- Experience with die attach, wire or ribbon bonding, hermetic packaging, laser welding, or fiber attachment.
- Experience with TEC‑based thermal control or temperature‑controlled electronic systems.
- Experience developing hardware for aerospace, defense, telecommunications, semiconductor, photonics, or other high‑reliability applications.
- Familiarity with MIL‑STD‑883, Telcordia GR‑468, or comparable qualification and reliability requirements.
- Experience transitioning engineering prototypes into production, including DFM, process development, yield improvement, and manufacturing support.
