Lumicity is seeking a Staff Mechanical Engineer to lead the design and development of next-generation industrial capital equipment in Fremont, CA. The role focuses on electromechanical systems, precision mechanisms, automation, and advanced manufacturing technologies, driving from concept through production with cross-functional partners.

Competenze

• 8+ years of mechanical design experience in industrial capital equipment.
• Strong skills in GD&T, tolerance analysis and manufacturing documentation.
• Hands-on experience with integrating and validating complex electromechanical systems.
• Experience in semiconductor, automation, robotics or related industries is preferred.

Mansioni

• Lead the design and development of complex mechanical, electromechanical, and pneumatic systems for advanced capital equipment.
• Define mechanical architecture and perform GD&T, tolerance stack-up, and design analyses.
• Lead system integration, validation, testing, troubleshooting, and root cause investigations.
• Drive continuous improvements in product performance, reliability, manufacturability, and cost.
• Own engineering documentation including CAD models, drawings, BOMs, and specifications.
• Collaborate with Electrical, Software, Manufacturing, Process, and Quality Engineering teams throughout product development.
• Mentor engineers, lead technical reviews, and manage projects from concept through production.
