Job summary

The role collaborates with engineers and technicians, coordinates with suppliers and logistics, ensuring rugged, mission‑critical designs. Responsibilities include 3D modeling and PCB layouts (SolidWorks, OrCAD), writing procedures, and guiding documents through NAVSEA configuration management.

Qualifications

• Able to obtain/maintain SECRET clearance.
• Experience in designing electro‑mechanical systems and assemblies.
• Familiar with PCB electronics development and rugged applications.

Responsibilities

• Design and document electro‑mechanical systems from concept to deployment.
• Assist in trade space evaluations for weight, size, cost, and manufacturability of components.
• Develop 3D models and PCB layouts and guide documents through NAVSEA configuration management processes.
• Coordinate with suppliers, government engineers, and DoD personnel.
• Build and test prototypes with technicians and document results.
