Job summary

Moog in Murphy, NC is hiring a Production Operator to assemble electromechanical products and operate automated equipment on a tight, quality-driven line. You will follow detailed manufacturing instructions and contribute to ongoing testing and final motor assembly.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, mechanical aptitude, and soldering experience or willingness to certify. Lifting up to 40 lbs and good color vision are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred; ability to follow English instructions.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
• Experience soldering or willingness to become certified.
• Good eyesight with color distinction and steady hands.
• Able to lift 20–40 lbs as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electromechanical products using required manufacturing docs and tooling; including rotor, stator sub-assembly, rotor assembly, motor assembly.
• Operate machine stripper or hand tool to remove insulation from lead wire.
• Install lead wire pin connectors.
• Operate stator potting mixer/applicator.
• Apply varnish to stator winding and glue to assemblies.
• Operate mold transfer press and attach heat sink to circuit board.
• Complete final motor assembly and test motor/drive per specs.
• Load and monitor automated machinery; prepare and package final assembly.
• Cross-train across operations; work overtime as needed.
