Job summary

Moog Inc. is seeking a 2nd Shift Production Operator in Murphy, NC to assemble electromechanical products. The role involves following detailed manufacturing docs, wiring, potting, varnishing, and testing components to specification.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, mechanical aptitude, soldering experience or willingness to certify, and the ability to lift up to 40 lb. Overtime, including Saturdays, is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred; ability to understand and follow English instructions.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and ability to understand/perform basic math.
• Experience soldering or willingness to become certified.
• Good eyesight and manual dexterity; able to handle magnets and strong EM fields.
• Able to lift 20 lbs frequently and up to 40 lbs occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electromechanical products using manufacturing documentation and tooling (rotor, stator sub-assembly, motor assembly).
• Operate machine stripper or hand tool to strip insulation from lead wire; install lead wire pin connectors.
• Operate stator potting mixer/applicator and apply varnish/adhesive as needed.
• Load and monitor automated machinery; prepare and package final motor/drive assemblies.
• Complete cross-training across operations and work overtime as required.
