Job summary

Moog Inc. in Murphy, NC is seeking a 2nd Shift Production Operator to assemble electromechanical products using documented processes. This role requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 40 lbs, and working with magnets; overtime including Saturdays may be required.

You will complete final motor assembly and test performance, load and monitor automated equipment, and cross-train across operations while maintaining quality and safety standards in a high‑velocity manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred; ability to understand and apply work instructions in English.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform basic arithmetic.
• Experience soldering or willingness to become certified.
• Good eyesight with color distinction and manual dexterity.
• Able to lift 20–40 lbs and work near strong electromagnetic fields.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electromechanical products using documentation and tooling.
• Operate machine stripper or hand tools to remove insulation from lead wire.
• Install lead wire pin connectors and run automated drivers with feeder bowls.
• Complete final motor assembly and test performance per specifications.
• Load, monitor and adjust automated machinery; prepare and package final assemblies.
• Cross-train across operations and work overtime including Saturdays.
