JOB SUMMARY

Provides a high level of electro-mechanical assemblies from component level parts. Under well – define instructions and in accordance with company police and assembly procedures.

JOB DUTIES
  • Fill out the verification sheet for each job assigned.
  • Read and understand schematic drawings, assembly drawings.
  • Read and understand assembly, Test and packaging procedures.
  • Complete necessary paperwork accurately for each Job order following GDP (Good
    Documentation Practices).
  • Follow 5s processes.
  • Understand Clock ON and Clock OFF Jobs.
  • Attention to detail in every assembly, or task assigned.
  • Package and label all products including batteries from cleanroom.
  • Set up, lay out parts and maintain a clean working environment at all times
  • Uses hand tools and equipment to aid assembly.
  • Operate drill press, a variety air equipment, and electrical tools.
  • Works safely and maintains a safe, organized and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations
  • Performs a range of routine electro-mechanical assemblies of small parts or components in accordance with company instructions and procedures.
  • Test air motor, medical devices following test established procedures.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as needed.
  • Report on any unusual problems that occur during testing, packaging or assembling Components.
  • Notify assembly Supervisor or Assembly Manager of discrepancies.
  • Flexible and adaptable to company’s changes and needs.
  • Identify non –conformance and initiate require documentation. Documentation may include (non – conforming material report).
  • Order parts from stockroom.
  • Package and label all products including batteries from cleanroom.
  • Explain assembly procedures or techniques to other workers.
  • Performs non-complex electro-mechanical assemblies.
  • Flexible and adaptable to company’s changes and needs
  • Performs electrical mechanical assemblies, sub-assemblies, wiring, crimping, soldering, striping, tinning and potting.
  • Lay out parts.
  • Perform mechanical and electronic assemblies of products including hand soldering on circuit boards assemblies using written instructions, schematics specifications, and industry standard.
  • Certified in soldering.
  • Follow clean room procedures.
  • Knowledge of lead-free soldering
  • Visually inspect assemblies and subassemblies in progress to ensure compliance with Assembly drawings and schematics.
  • Rework or reject subassemblies or finish product as required.
  • Sign and approved first articles.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide. Must have good attention to detail and excellent eye-hand coordination required. Knowledge and ability of using lead free solder. Ability to read and understand all standard operating procedures. Ability to operate soldering equipment.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

Read and understand drawings and assembly procedures, works well in a team environment. Assemble electro-mechanical assemblies and subassemblies with a minimal supervision.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Position requires a high school diploma or Equivalent. Minimal of 5 Years’ experience in Electro-mechanical assembly. Requires a certification in soldering. Experience in Medical Device manufacturing is desirable.

INTERPERSONAL AND COMMUNICATIONS SKILLS

Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with supervisors and team members regarding work instructions, safety requirements, and assembly issues. Works effectively as part of a team, follows verbal and written instructions, asks questions when clarification is needed, and maintains respectful working relationships in a production environment.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to read and understand all standard and operating procedures. Ability to learn quickly. Ability to communicate and work cooperatively with others. Able to problem - solve using existing procedures to perform straightforward tasks.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Comprehension of the English language necessary. Reading and understanding drawings, assembly and test procedures.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED

Reports to assembly manager.

MENTAL, PHYSICAL AND VISUAL DEMANDS

Eye / Hand coordination, attention to detail, light lifting, require working with small parts. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, distance vision. Sit walking and stand.
