Nidec is seeking an Electromagnetic Design Engineer in North America, Missouri, St. Louis. You will design and optimize electromagnetic architectures for advanced motors, using tools like MotorCAD, Maxwell, Flux, JMAG, and SPEED.

Collaboration with product, systems, and controls teams is essential to deliver high-performance motor solutions. You will lead design activities from concept through production, perform detailed EM simulations, verify with tests, and contribute to technology roadmaps

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering; master's preferred with EM focus.
• 2+ years in electromagnetic design or motor engineering roles.

Responsabilités

• Design and analyze electromagnetic architectures for brushless and PMSM motors.
• Optimize stator/rotor designs for torque, thermal performance, and cost.
• Correlate simulations with experimental data and validate designs.
