Nidec is seeking an Electromagnetic Design Engineer for its Motion and Drives team in the aerospace market. You will design electric propulsion systems for battery-powered aircraft, applying EM theory and partnering with experienced engineers to push decarbonization in transport.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, documentation, and earlier involvement with external stakeholders to ensure robust, compliant motor-drive solutions for next-generation aerospace applications.

Responsabilidades

• Apply electromagnetic design concepts to brushless DC motor drive systems.
• Use MotorCAD, Ansys Maxwell, Atlair Flux, SPEED and JMAG for design analyses and reporting.
• Integrate power electronics with electric motor design and verify with tests.
• Develop, maintain and upgrade tests for design verification and validation.
• Interface with customers and translate requirements into product design.
• Document design specs, verification plans, and change orders with MS Excel/Word.
• Collaborate with product teams to transition designs into production.
