Job summary

Lyten, Inc. in San Jose, CA is seeking an Electrolyte Technician to safely prepare and QC advanced liquid electrolytes for Li-S battery development.

You will work closely with R&D scientists to formulate electrolyte mixtures, maintain glove box systems, and support post-test analyses, driving innovative energy storage solutions. Qualifications

• Associate/Bachelor's degree (unrelated field) with 5+ years in R&D or low-volume manufacturing, or 1+ years with significant responsibilities at a high-volume cell manufacturing facility.
• Demonstrated knowledge in Li-S and/or Li-ion battery materials, synthesis, testing, and analysis.
• Experience in electrochemical analysis, electrolyte development, and cell fabrication.
• Hands-on electrochemical testing methods (EIS, CV, GITT/PITT) and related equipment.
• Knowledge of organic liquids and their interface with lithium anodes; familiarity with characterization techniques.

Responsibilities

• Hand-mix liquid electrolytes in glove box following SOPs to support R&D and pilot cell fabrication.
• Run QC measurements on electrolytes and maintain calibration of QC equipment.
• Assist in post-test cell failure analysis with disassembly and characterization.
• Maintain organized lab notebook and manage lab inventory.
• Perform regular glove box maintenance and ensure clean, compliant work areas.
