Job summary

Solid Power, Inc. is seeking a Production Operator to support daily manufacturing of electrolyte powder for next-generation battery materials.

The role involves operating production and powder-handling equipment, following strict safety and quality procedures, and ensuring consistent product output. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a controlled chemical production environment on a day shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in chemical manufacturing or powder production preferred.
• Comfort working with powders and glovebox or controlled-atmosphere operations.
• Ability to understand SOPs, follow instructions, and maintain accurate records.
• Basic computer skills (training provided on internal systems).

Responsibilities

• Operate mixers, reactors, dryers, jet mills, sieves, and packaging systems according to SOPs.
• Monitor equipment performance and notify leadership of abnormalities or required adjustments.
• Assist with equipment cleaning, changeovers, and basic maintenance tasks.
• Accurately weigh, stage raw materials and powders.
• Transfer materials between production steps using approved handling methods.
• Package, label, and seal electrolyte powder following quality and safety requirements.
• Complete batch records, log sheets, and digital entries with full accuracy.
• Perform in-process checks as trained.
• Communicate any deviations, material issues, or safety concerns immediately.
• Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and chemical-handling protocols.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace in accordance with 5S and housekeeping standards.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, and throughput.
