Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated in Westbury, NY is seeking a Test Engineer to oversee testing processes within the Manufacturing Test engineering department. You will work with a team of technicians and engineers to develop test strategies and ensure products meet quality and performance standards.

Responsibilities include designing and maintaining test fixtures for PCBs and meters, using equipment such as RD-20/23 and Fluke 5080A, and collaborating with design, QA, and production teams to meet timelines

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering with some Computer Science knowledge.
• 3–6 years of experience in engineering in areas of electronic, electromechanical fixtures, finishing, assembly, and testing environment.
• Ability to set up and operate all machine shop equipment including presses, grinders, forming tools, and knowledge of fabrication methods.
• Working knowledge of programming, setup, and running of CNC machinery.
• Experience with software including C#, VB6, Python, Altium, SolidWorks, CAD software.
• Experience in building maintenance services and environmental training.

Responsibilities

• Oversee testing processes within the Manufacturing Test engineering department.
• Design and maintain test fixtures and jigs for PCBs and power meters used to measure power quality and consumption.
• Collaborate with design engineering to support NPIs and resolve issues with QA and engineering teams.
• Utilize test equipment such as RD‑20/23 and Fluke 5080A calibrator to validate fixtures.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and quality practices and procedures.
• Maintain records of test reports and inventory of tools and materials.
