United Radio in Syracuse, NY is seeking a maintenance technician to develop test hardware and manage calibration of test equipment. You will fabricate hardware, repair wiring and PCB assemblies, and maintain service databases, ensuring equipment remains calibrated and functional.

The role requires CAD knowledge (AutoCAD, DipTrace), soldering skills (through-hole and SMD), and strong mechanical abilities to support electrical testing and assembly tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with at least 12 months related experience or training.
• Knowledge of CAD software such as AutoCAD and PCB design software such as DipTrace.
• Ability to read electronic schematics and PCB drawings.
• Soldering skills including through-hole and SMD soldering.
• Mechanical skills including machining (drilling, milling, etc.) and electrical assembly.
• Ability to read, analyze, and write service reports.

Responsabilités

• Develop test hardware to align or test electronic products per manufacturer requirements.
• Maintain and repair current equipment, wiring harnesses, cables and connectors used for service and testing.
• Fabricate new hardware, including machining, PCB population, wiring, and final assembly.
• Maintain the service equipment database and calibrate equipment.
• Review equipment for service or calibration needs and schedule accordingly.
• Coordinate calibration and service of test equipment in-house or at outside labs.
• Comply with United Radio policies and quality systems.
• Perform related duties as requested.
