Job summary

PennEngineering is seeking a motivated Electro-Mechanical Technician to join our maintenance team. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain production equipment and facility systems, including PLC-controlled controls, sensors, and motors.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, documentation in CMMS, and collaboration with engineering and operations to improve reliability. The role requires safety compliance and the ability to read schematics and diagrams.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical degree or certification preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in an industrial maintenance role.
  • Strong knowledge of PLC troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley preferred) and electrical control systems.
  • Proficient with AC/DC motors, VFDs, sensors, and relays.
  • Ability to read schematics and technical documentation.
  • Experience with both mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work with a high level of detail.
  • Independent work ethic and self-starter mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain documentation of repairs, parts usage, and completed work in CMMS.
  • Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with electrical codes and company standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations to improve equipment reliability and performance.
  • Perform other duties as required.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Must be able to stand for up to 12hours during a shift.
  • Ability tolift upto 50 lbs. periodically.
  • Must havevisualacuity.
  • Ability to read and interpret manuals, instructions, procedures, etc.
