Job summary

Amcor Bloomington plant seeks a maintenance Technician to service blown film production equipment and perform preventative maintenance under Team Leader guidance. You will complete work orders, record daily activities, and keep the maintenance shop clean and orderly.

Welding, mechanical and electrical skills are essential for upgrades and repairs. Responsibilities include inspecting production lines, ordering parts as needed, and working overtime when required.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED with mechanical/electrical aptitude.
• Experience: 2–4 years in industrial electrical repair and maintenance.
• Special Skills: Read mechanical/electrical blueprints, troubleshoot drives/motors and controls, work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Follow all Company policies and guidelines.
• Adhere to attendance and safety guidelines.
• Service blown film production equipment to minimize downtime and scrap.
• Perform preventative maintenance as scheduled and directed by Team Leader.
• Complete open work orders in a timely fashion as directed by Team Leader.
• Record daily work in Plant Maintenance Log.
• Maintain maintenance shop cleanliness and orderliness.
• Welds together metal parts, equipment pieces, etc. as needed.
• Rotate on-call schedule with maintenance staff.
• Orders parts as needed for service.

Education

High school diploma or GED

1 year of college or trade school or equivalent experience (4–5 years preferred)
