Job summary

Caliberr Staffing is seeking an Electro Mechanical Technician in Dayton, OH to join a busy plant maintenance team. You will repair and calibrate electrical and mechanical systems, perform diagnostics, and participate in safety protocols to protect personnel.

Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of EMT experience or a 2-year technical degree with hands-on work, proficient PLC knowledge (Siemens/Allen Bradley), and a strong ability to use CMMS SAP for maintenance records.

Qualifications

Possess an Associate degree, a relevant maintenance certification, or equivalent practical experience in industrial automation or electrical maintenance.
3+ years of Electro Mechanical Technician experience, or 2-year technical degree with 1 year hands-on experience.
Demonstrated ability to diagnose issues, replace parts, and modify equipment to standards.
Flexible to work overtime as required.
Proficient in recording data and retrieving technical information on a computer.
Basic math for system calibrations and repairs.
Knowledge of rigging and pipefitting techniques.
Understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
Advanced PLC-based controls and industrial automation, Siemens or Allen Bradley.
Familiarity with Arc Flash and LOTO safety regulations.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Able to meet physical demands in a high-speed manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Execute preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on electrical and mechanical systems.
Carry out corrective maintenance and system calibrations to ensure peak performance.
Maintain safe working environment by following safety protocols (LOTO, PPE, risk assessments, permits).
Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues using manuals, schematics, and team expertise.
Operate diagnostic instruments and tools safely.
Identify components needed for repairs from BOMs and drawings.
Make machine adjustments for continuous production support.
Maintain components such as switchgear, PLCs, motors, VFDs, sensors, and valves.
Contribute to Mahle Operational Excellence program.
Record maintenance activities in SAP Plant Maintenance CMMS.
Complete additional tasks to support department goals.
Demonstrate professionalism and technical proficiency in all work.
