Job summary

SAIC in Middletown, RI is seeking an Engineering Technician to fabricate and troubleshoot electronic and electro-mechanical systems. You will build cables and harnesses from schematics, support engineers, and document changes to engineering plans.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and 3+ years in manufacturing with the ability to obtain a SECRET clearance. IPC/WHMA-A-620 and J-STD-001 certs or equivalent experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3+ years of manufacturing experience building electro-mechanical systems, cables, and harnesses.
• Must be able to obtain a SECRET clearance.
• IPC/WHMA-A-620 and J-STD-001 certifications or equivalent experience.
• Ability to read drawings and wire diagrams.
• Experience using precision measuring tools (DMMs, micrometers, calipers).

Responsibilities

• Fabricate electronic/electro-mechanical test equipment.
• Fabricate wire cables and harnesses.
• Inspect, test, and qualify systems and sub-assemblies.
• Troubleshoot issues to ensure functionality and compliance.
• Manage accuracy of technical documentation with engineering team.
• Coordinate with engineering support and customers to resolve design issues.
