Job summary

PlanIT Group, LLC is seeking a fabrication professional for wiring harness and circuit card assembly. The role requires an active secret clearance to start and involves soldering, harness certification, and fabrication to blueprints and MIL STD standards.

Qualifications

• Secret clearance required to start. Only candidates with an active secret clearance at submission.
• 3 years of experience in fabrication environments (cable/wire harness, SMT board fabrication, or maintenance of military design products).
• Prior certification in solder and harness capability to MIL STD requirements.
• Experience fabricating electrical equipment from blueprints, schematics, and engineering guides.
• Experience communicating issues with design/process requirements to management/engineers.
• Experience with software tools and Microsoft products.
• Self-starter able to perform tasks with minimal supervision.

Job description

Fabrication will include the ability to place and solder components on circuit cards and sub-assemblies. The fabrication of wiring harnesses will require connector pinning, de-pinning, and applying mounting hardware.
Position is a minimum of 40 hours per week commitment with occasional overtime.

Basic Qualifications

• Secret clearance required to start. Please only submit candidates with an active secret clearance at time of submittal.
• 3 years of experience may be in other fabrication environments including cable and wire harness, SMT board fabrication, or maintenance of military design product.
• Must have Prior Certification in solder and harness capability to MIL STD requirements.
• Experience fabricating electrical equipment designed from a blueprint, schematic, and engineering guides.
• Experience communicating issues (both verbal and written) with the design and/or the process requirements to management and or engineers.
• Experience with utilizing software tools and Microsoft products
• Self-starter able to perform tasks with minimal supervision

Desired Skills

• Solder certification to J-STD-001, IPC-7711/IPC-7721
• Experience in procurement and acquisition of test materials
• Experience interpreting and building to Client's Test Equipment engineering
