Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker, Inc. in Elyria, OH is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Technician for 3rd shift (11pm–7:00am) with a starting wage of $40.07/hour plus a $1.10 shift differential.

You will layout, install and maintain electrical/electronic systems and plant equipment while diagnosing problems and programming PLCs. The role requires a Journeyman electrical/electronic and mechanical background, a high school diploma, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Journeyman’s Electrical/Electronic and Mechanical Technician papers or equivalent.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience preferred.
• Prior experience with hand tools and power tools preferred
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment requiring the employee to stand and walk for majority of an 8 to 10-hour day.
• Bend, lift product, equipment and tools up to 50 pounds throughout the day.
• Push or pull product up to 200 pounds.
• Use hand tools up to 20 pounds over extended periods of time

Responsibilities

• Layout, install and maintain electrical/electronic systems and plant equipment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical/electronic problems.
• Program, maintain, and troubleshoot PLCs.
• Ensure compliance with regulations.
• Assemble, disassemble, repair, overhaul machines.
• Perform bench and machining operations.
• Maintain close tolerances.
• Operate lathes, grinders, and milling machines.
• Transport hazardous materials safely.
• Use measuring and monitoring equipment.
