Purpose:
Perform general maintenance, including preventative and predictive maintenance on printing, bagging, extrusion, auxiliary, and plant support equipment.
Job Duties:
- Understand and communicate all hazards and safety issues to co-workers, leads, and managers.
- Properly use all personal protective equipment and follow all LOTO procedures.
- Repair production equipment, requiring:
- Capability to perform maintenance on all types of equipment in the plant with high skill and competency.
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical circuits.
- Ability to read electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics and identify symbols and control circuits.
- Understanding and troubleshooting PLCs is a plus.
Apply knowledge of machines and processes to analyze, set up, and maintain equipment for safe and continuous operation.
Modify electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment to repair, change, or upgrade.
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on all production equipment.
Support and guide associates to improve performance.
Follow up with work center personnel to ensure quality repairs.
Assist in training and developing operators.
Implement preventive/predictive maintenance plans for optimal reliability.
Keep Maintenance Manager informed of equipment issues and establish correction plans.
Exhibit good communication skills and work professionally in a team environment.
Require 3 years of manufacturing experience in a related field.
Proficient in using computers, CMMS, and related software for record-keeping and troubleshooting.
Recognize and accurately enter numbers and values into online databases.
Possess strong mathematical skills.
Have proven knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic theories and procedures for troubleshooting and repairs.
Supply own tools, including electrical test tools, hand tools, welding tools, etc.
Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude.
Ability to read mechanical and electrical schematics.
Troubleshoot and repair low voltage (12V DC) to high voltage (480V AC 3-phase) systems.
Make priority decisions independently based on the situation.
Lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, climb up to 60 feet, and work in non-climate-controlled environments.
