Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support our manufacturing operations in Cleveland. You will install, inspect, and repair complex electro-mechanical systems, diagnose failures, and maintain equipment to GMP and food safety standards.

You will perform preventive and predictive maintenance, work with SAP/Prometheus for data entry, guide junior technicians, and collaborate with production teams to improve line reliability and reduce downtime.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Level 2: Associate degree or technical certificate in industrial maintenance with 3–5 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to pass a respirator fit test.
  • Experience servicing, rebuilding, and repairing pneumatic and hydraulic systems, drives, bearings, gears, motors, pumps, valves, seals, gaskets, fasteners.
  • Basic understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical-drive, air, steam, and refrigeration systems.
  • Basic PLC troubleshooting.
  • Basic electrical skills up to 480 V and motor-control circuits.
  • Familiarity with instrumentation, field devices, ammeters, and megohmmeters.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and schematics; use testing tools.
  • Follow safety and food-safety procedures; advanced process controls and equipment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Install, inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, rebuild, align, and improve complex electrical, electronic, instrumentation, automation, and mechanical equipment.
  • Diagnose failures, establish safe conditions, restore equipment and verify function.
  • Execute preventive, predictive, corrective, and condition-based maintenance.
  • Participate in parts-purchase requests, equipment installation, commissioning, testing, and line improvements.
  • Support operators with CIL, centerlining, restoration of basic conditions, defect identification, and technical skill development.
  • Guide less-experienced technicians and tool partners.
  • Enter maintenance data into SAP/Prometheus and other online systems.
  • Perform maintenance in accordance with food safety, people safety, GMP, and statutory requirements.
  • Close SAP/AMM or Prometheus work orders and create notifications for defects, temporary repairs, and risks.
  • Use condition-monitoring data and equipment history to improve preventive maintenance, procedures, BOMs, spare parts, and recurrence prevention.

Job description

Requirements
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Level 2: Associate degree or technical certificate in industrial maintenance, mechatronics, electro-mechanical technology, or a related field, and three to five years of relevant work experience; manufacturing experience preferred
  • Ability to pass a respirator fit test
  • Experience servicing, rebuilding, and repairing pneumatic and hydraulic systems, chain and belt drives, bearings, shafts, couplings, gearboxes, motors, pumps, valves, seals, gaskets, fasteners, and power-transmission components
  • Basic mechanical knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical-drive, air, steam, and refrigeration systems
  • Basic PLC troubleshooting
  • Basic electrical skills, including the National Electrical Code, power systems and distribution up to 480 V, and motor-control and safety circuits
  • Familiarity with instrumentation, field devices, ammeters, and megohmmeters
  • Ability to read technical drawings and schematics and use common testing tools
  • Ability to follow safety and food-safety procedures
  • Advanced process controls and listed process equipment experience preferred
