Acutronic is looking for an Electro-Mechanical Technician to join our expanding team in Austin, Texas. Our ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in the assembly, testing, or diagnostics of mechanical or electrical assemblies. We seek someone who is proactive and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Electro-Mechanical Technician

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Perform electronic (wiring, soldering, circuit board installation) and mechanical (machined parts, gears, sensors, adhesives) assembly tasks supporting production projects using electro-mechanical tools and devices.
2. Work from schematics and instructions to assemble developmental assemblies, subassemblies, and components.
3. Assemble parts, align, and fasten units to assemblies, sub-assemblies, or frames using hand and power tools.
4. Inspect, test, and troubleshoot subcomponents and units to ensure compliance with specifications, using tools like micrometers and calipers.
5. Disassemble faulty units and replace defective parts.
6. Follow detailed instructions and document any deviations with quality assurance checks.
7. Record actions and process steps in both paper and digital forms.
8. Package products and prepare shipments.
9. Maintain a safe, clean work environment by adhering to procedures and regulations.
10. Advise management on problem-solving solutions.

Qualifications & Skills:

1. One to two years of experience in mechanical or electrical assembly, testing, or diagnostics.
2. Certification in IPC standards such as J-STD-001, A-610, or A-620 is preferred.
3. Experience in aerospace quality control (AS9100) and manufacturing environments is a plus.
4. Manual dexterity and mechanical visualization skills.
5. Proficiency in mechanical or electrical knowledge.
6. Ability to follow work instructions and read mechanical/electrical drawings.
