Job description

Join to apply for the Electro-Mechanical Technician 3 role at Dematic.

The Electro-Mechanical Technician Level 3 is responsible for troubleshooting and preventative/predictive maintenance on ASRS machines. Acts as a material handling technician on all equipment installed at the Assonet Massachusetts Stop and Shop Distribution Center. The shift is from 6 pm to 6 am, Wednesday through Saturday, with overtime and occasional weekend work possible.

The estimated base pay range is $30 to $35.50 per hour, with final compensation determined by factors such as location, education, experience, and skills.

Tasks and Qualifications

What You Will Do

• Repair and maintain Material Handling Equipment, including belt tracking, component adjustments/replacements, and lubrication.
• Perform preventative maintenance routines and document procedures.
• Use electrical testing equipment to troubleshoot circuitry.
• Build and close work orders with appropriate data in the asset management system.
• Troubleshoot semi-complex problems and identify necessary resources.
• Manage spare parts inventory.
• Conduct routine maintenance and testing to meet specifications.
• Respond to service calls, repairing equipment failures and faults.
• Identify problems promptly and take corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships across the organization.

What We Are Looking For

• High School diploma or equivalent; an Associate's degree or relevant experience is preferred. Certification is a plus.
• General knowledge of technical or specialized areas.
• Proven experience in similar responsibilities.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds; occasional pushing/pulling of 100-pound loads.
• Good dexterity and ability to climb ladders safely.
• Comfortable working in confined spaces, with dust, fumes, varying temperatures, noise, and uneven surfaces.
• Ability to stand or walk for 10-12 hours.
• Flexible to work multiple shifts and holidays as needed.
