Qualifications

Core Responsibilities

• Execute advanced fault analysis and debugging on chassis, wiring, connectors, and Circuit Card Assemblies to ensure system reliability.
• Trace signal paths through intricate electronics to isolate faulty components, such as capacitors or resistors, helping maintain peak operational performance.
• Perform testing, modification, and repair of aviation electronic devices to ensure compliance with FAA Repair Station standards.
• Analyze test data and troubleshoot test-stand setups to help the team minimize cycle times and overcome manufacturing bottlenecks.
• Assist in automated visual inspection tasks to improve overall quality control and operational efficiency.
• Act as a technical subject matter expert to provide guidance on complex repairs and advanced soldering techniques.
• Create training materials and provide mentorship to help elevate the technical skills of the broader operations team.
• Maintain high workmanship standards by performing precision soldering tasks that meet rigorous quality requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Five to ten years of professional experience in a technical or manufacturing setting.
• At least four years of hands-on experience performing component-level troubleshooting.
• Proven ability to interpret and utilize complex electronic schematics.
• Strong grasp of circuit operations, including the ability to trace signal paths to identify failures.
• Practical experience in troubleshooting electronic assemblies and CCAs at the component level.
• Proficiency in soldering with the ability to earn IPC and J-Standard certifications through our internal training program.
• Ability to meet strict soldering qualification standards while demonstrating a deep understanding of SMT processing.
• Skill in interpreting technical specifications and accurately updating technical documentation.
• Strong computer literacy, specifically with Microsoft Excel, Word, and documentation management systems.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with engineering and production departments.
• A Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field or equivalent relevant technical experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in the overhaul, testing, or repair of electro‑mechanical or electronic aircraft equipment.
• Previous experience operating within an FAA Repair Station or a similarly regulated aerospace environment.
• Experience working with legacy electro‑mechanical and electronic aerospace systems.
• Experience in the creation of technical training programs or detailed work instructions.
• Experience providing mentorship and functional guidance to other technicians.
• Advanced proficiency in SMT rework and complex soldering.
• Experience troubleshooting manufacturing test beds or test equipment.
• Experience identifying process improvements to resolve bottlenecks and reduce cycle times.

This position is based in a fast‑paced manufacturing facility where precision is paramount. You will operate in an environment with varying temperatures, ambient noise, and machinery, while adhering to strict safety protocols.
