Universal Avionics in Tucson, AZ is seeking an experienced Electronic Assembler II for Final Assembly. You will build avionics and flight navigation products from drawings through testing and troubleshooting on-site in a fast-paced environment.

Join our Final Assembly team to perform complex electronic, electrical, mechanical, and electromechanical assembly, wiring, soldering, and quality inspections, while maintaining documentation and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in electronic, electrical, electromechanical, aerospace, or manufacturing assembly.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, schematics, BOMs, specifications and work instructions.
• Proficiency with precision hand tools, torque tools, gauges, fixtures and manufacturing equipment.
• Ability to perform complex assembly with minimal supervision and troubleshoot.

We’re looking for an experienced Electronic Assembler II to join our Final Assembly team in Tucson. In this role, you’ll perform complex electronic, electrical, mechanical, and electromechanical assembly on avionics and flight navigation products, taking components from technical drawings and work instructions through final assembly, testing, and troubleshooting.

What You’ll Do

• Assemble and integrate electronic, electrical, mechanical, and electromechanical components for avionics products
• Work from engineering drawings, schematics, BOMs, specifications, and work instructions
• Perform precision wiring, connector installation, soldering and rework, hardware installation, torquing, and mechanical assembly
• Inspect, test, and troubleshoot completed assemblies
• Identify and resolve workmanship, electrical, mechanical, and configuration issues
• Maintain accurate production, inspection, test, configuration, and traceability documentation
• Support multiple products and processes while contributing to safety, quality, 5S, and continuous improvement
• Share your knowledge by supporting and training less-experienced assemblers as needed
• 2+ years of experience in electronic, electrical, electromechanical, aerospace, or manufacturing assembly
• Ability to independently perform complex assembly with minimal supervision
• Experience reading engineering drawings, schematics, assembly drawings, BOMs, specifications, and work instructions
• Proficiency with precision hand tools, torque tools, gauges, fixtures, and manufacturing equipment
• Experience with wiring, connector installation, soldering/rework, and mechanical assembly
• Ability to perform basic functional testing and troubleshooting
• Working knowledge of ESD, FOD, safety, quality, configuration control, and product traceability requirements
