Job summary

Accelera in Tucson, AZ is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Technical Operator to repair, test, and overhaul aviation electronics at the component level. The role blends high-level electronics knowledge with meticulous craftsmanship and proactive problem-solving.

You will analyze complex schematics, trace signals across boards, and identify root causes of failures while supporting engineering and production through hands-on troubleshooting and training of teammates.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years in technical or manufacturing setting.
• ≥4 years hands-on component-level troubleshooting.
• Ability to interpret complex schematics.
• Experience tracing signal paths to locate failures.
• Bachelor’s degree in STEM or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced fault analysis on chassis, wiring, CCAs.
• Trace signals to isolate faulty components.
• Test, modify, and repair aviation electronic devices per FAA Repair Station standards.
• Analyze test data and troubleshoot test-stands to reduce cycle times.
• Assist automated visual inspection to improve quality control.
• Provide mentorship and guidance on repairs and soldering techniques.
• Create training materials for the operations team.
• Maintain high workmanship with precision soldering.
