Job summary

Chromalloy is seeking an experienced Electronic Technician to troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, and maintain sophisticated electronic and automated equipment in an aerospace manufacturing environment. You will diagnose complex failures, implement corrective actions, and help improve safety, reliability, and performance of critical systems.

The role supports aviation safety and reliability, with second shift hours and a $2.00 shift differential.

Qualifications

• Technical degree or certificate in a related field.
• Aerospace or highly regulated manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Experience with PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi) and CNC/robotics is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair electronic, electrical, and automated manufacturing equipment.
• Diagnose issues involving PLCs, CNC machines, robotics, drives, motors, sensors, and control systems.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.

Job Summary

We’re looking for an experienced Electronic Technician to troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, and maintain sophisticated electronic, electrical, control, and automated equipment in an aerospace manufacturing environment. In this role, you’ll independently diagnose complex equipment failures, implement corrective actions, and help improve the safety, reliability, and performance of critical manufacturing systems.

Shift: 2nd shift, Monday-Friday 3:00p-11:00p

Shift Differential: $2.00

What You’ll Be Doing

• Troubleshoot and repair electronic, electrical, and automated manufacturing equipment.
• Diagnose issues involving PLCs, CNC machines, robotics, drives, motors, sensors, and control systems.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Use advanced diagnostic tools to identify root causes and resolve equipment failures.
• Support preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities.
• Restore equipment to safe operating condition while minimizing downtime.
• Troubleshoot integrated electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Support equipment installations, upgrades, controls modifications, and automation projects.
• Perform calibration and maintenance of industrial instrumentation and control devices.
• Document maintenance activities and equipment history within the CMMS.
• Participate in root-cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide technical guidance and support to fellow maintenance team members.
• Follow all safety, Lockout/Tagout, and aerospace quality requirements.

Nice to Have

• Technical degree, certificate, or formal training in a related field.
• Aerospace or other highly regulated manufacturing experience.
• Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi, or similar PLC experience.
• CNC, robotics, or automated manufacturing experience.Industrial networking, instrumentation, or process controls experience.
• CMMS experience.
• NFPA 70E or other electrical safety training.
• Predictive maintenance experience, including thermography or vibration analysis

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Regularly stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work throughout an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Work in confined or elevated areas when required.
• Lift and handle maintenance tools, parts, and equipment.
• Work around machinery, electrical equipment, industrial chemicals, noise, heat, and other manufacturing hazards while following established safety requirements
