Job summary

Electrical Automation Services in Swedesboro, NJ, is seeking an experienced electrical maintenance professional to maintain and enhance machinery used in food manufacturing. You will document electrical and control systems, diagnose issues, and coordinate across shifts to ensure safe, compliant operation.

Qualifications

• AS/AAS degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering preferred or equivalent experience.
• High school/military training and practical experience in a related field, with a background in complete machine and electrical control system installation.
• Familiarity with Rockwell, Siemens, and Mitsubishi software, as well as preventive maintenance software, is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, and control systems design documentation.
• Working knowledge of control system projects, including machine layout, control drawings, P&ID, and basic troubleshooting for A/B-Rockwell, Siemens, and Mitsubishi.
• Ability to perform basic and advanced mathematical calculations, converting units of measurement.
• Competent in completing forms detailing maintenance work performed.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting work orders, operating manuals, and maintenance instructions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain current documentation for all electrical and control systems.
• Assist Mechanics and Electro-Mechanics in diagnosing and resolving electrical or control-related issues.
• Provide training and coordinate activities of Electro-Mechanics across shifts as needed.
• Occasionally work offsite to support equipment troubleshooting and repairs.
• Ensure production equipment is maintained according to the production schedule.
• Conduct electrical and mechanical inspections safely while equipment is operational.
• Address repairs during downtime following specs; restore production promptly.
• Keep accurate work records per work orders and job systems.
