Qualifications

• Read and interpret electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, control system, P&ID, single-line, loop, cable routing, and machine layout drawings.
• Industrial control systems, PLCs, drives, networks, and automation systems knowledge.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control system failures in manufacturing.
• Perform advanced mathematical calculations and interpret schematics.
• Complete maintenance documentation and technical reports accurately.
• Stand and walk for extended periods; lift up to 25 pounds, assist with liftover 50 pounds; climb ladders; work around industrial equipment.

About the Role

We are seeking a Specialist, Bakery- Electro Mechanic to join our team at our Swedesboro, NJ bakery. As a Specialist, Bakery-Electro Mechanic, you will be accountable for maintaining and optimizing electrical, controls, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and network systems that support bakery operations. This role is critical to minimizing downtime, improving equipment reliability, leading troubleshooting efforts, and supporting the development of Electro-Mechanics across all shifts.

Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)

• High School Diploma or GED with advanced technical training, military training, apprenticeship, or equivalent electrical and controls experience.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, control system, P&ID, single-line, loop, cable routing, and machine layout drawings.
• Working knowledge of industrial control systems, PLCs, drives, networks, and automation systems.
• Experience troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control system failures in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to perform advanced mathematical calculations, unit conversions, and interpret technical diagrams and schematics.
• Ability to complete maintenance documentation, work orders, and technical reports accurately.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, frequently lift up to 25 pounds, assist with lifting up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and safely work around industrial equipment.

Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)

• Associate Degree (AS/AAS) in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electronics, Industrial Automation, or a related technical field.
• Experience in bakery, food manufacturing, or consumer packaged goods (CPG) environments.
• Knowledge of Rockwell, Siemens, and Mitsubishi PLC programming, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and preventive maintenance software.
• Strong background in predictive maintenance, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Frequent work around moving mechanical equipment and automated production systems.
• Regular exposure to wet, humid, dusty, and manufacturing plant conditions.
• Occasional exposure to temperature extremes and rapid temperature changes.
• Ability to work in an environment containing flour dust.
• Moderate noise levels with periodic exposure to louder manufacturing conditions.
