Job summary

KURZ Industrial Solutions in Eau Claire, WI is seeking a General Laborer to assist Electric Motor Mechanics, Winders, and Machinists with repairs and assembly work. You will disassemble electro-mechanical equipment, clean assemblies, lift and reposition heavy objects, and observe safety protocols while maintaining a clean, organized work area.

A high school diploma is required; technical certification or an associate degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Technical certification or associate degree preferred.
• Mechanical troubleshooting and electrical theory knowledge desired.
• Understanding of AC/DC motors helpful.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble electro-mechanical equipment noting parts identification, configuration and condition.
• Clean electro-mechanical equipment assemblies as needed using various methods and steps, including but not limited to parts washers/steamers, etc.
• Lift, tighten, adjust and/or secure heavy objects in order to perform work duties.
• Dismantle and/or strip damaged or unserviceable electro-mechanical equipment.
• Assist in the rewind of various kinds of electro-mechanical equipment.
• Observe all safety procedures and policies and use proper protective equipment (especially eye, ear protection and steel toe shoes/boots, gloves, etc.).
• Keep work area clean and organized. Adhere to all company policies.
• Other duties as assigned.
