Job summary

L&S Electric, Inc. in Wisconsin is seeking a Repair Technician (Electro-Mechanical) for 1st shift to refurbish and repair rotating electrical apparatus. You will read job cards, disassemble equipment, and work with teammates to meet project needs while following safety protocols.

Ideal candidates have basic hand tools, English fluency, and experience with rigging, overhead cranes, and forklift operations. Overtime and fieldwork at client sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
• Provide basic hand tools needed for the position.
• Ongoing willingness to work overtime and at client sites as required.
• Experience with rigging and lifting heavy loads; operating overhead cranes.
• Forklift experience and familiarity with safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Work with other employees to complete general project needs.
• Refurbish and repair a variety of rotating electrical apparatus.
• Able to read job cards to determine job status and work to be performed.
• Disassemble incoming electrical apparatus.
• Perform and record incoming visual and electrical inspections.
• Safely operate and understand a variety of test equipment.
• Assist with an assembly of electrical apparatus under the guidance of more senior craftsperson.
• Additional training with higher level employees in other functions of department.
