L&S Electric, Inc. is seeking a Repair Technician (Electro-Mechanic) for the 2nd shift to refurbish and repair rotating electrical equipment. You will work with a team to meet project needs, read job cards, disassemble gear, and perform inspections with a range of test equipment.

Candidates should have electrical/mechanical background, be fluent in English, and willing to work overtime including weekends. Safety gear and training provided as needed.

Formación

• Read, write, and speak English fluently to follow job cards and safety rules.
• Willingness to work overtime, including weekends, to meet customer needs.
• Experience with rigging and lifting heavy loads and operating overhead cranes.
• Forklift experience for material handling and position setup.
• Able to provide basic hand tools required for the position.

Repair Technician (Electro-Mechanic) - 2nd shift

Responsibilities

• Work with other employees to complete general project needs.
• Refurbish and repair a variety of rotating electrical apparatus.
• Able to read job cards to determine job status and work to be performed.
• Disassemble incoming electrical apparatus.
• Perform and record incoming visual and electrical inspections.
• Safely operate and understand a variety of test equipment.
• Assist with an assembly of electrical apparatus under the guidance of more senior craftsperson.
• Additional training with higher level employees in other functions of department.

Requirements

• Able to provide basic hand tools needed for the position.
• Able to wear PPE require for position, as needed.
• Able to perform fine detail work with hands.
• Able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
• Able to work for any employer in the United States.
• Able to work overtime as needed and in the field at client sites.
• Must be willing to work overtime, weekdays, and weekends to meet customer service requirements.
• Experience with rigging and lifting heavy loads, and operating overhead cranes.
• Forklift experience.

Preferred

• Electrical and mechanical background.

Physical Demands

• Occasional lifting of heavy objects, up to 50 pounds.
• Extended periods of standing and/or bending.
• Computer literate.
