Job summary

Actalent in Lancaster, PA is seeking an Engineering Technician to support an engineering lab by assembling, fabricating, testing, and troubleshooting electro‑mechanical prototypes, including vacuum equipment for thermal test stations.

You will read blueprints, perform hands‑on testing of thermal, power, flow, and structural performance, use precision tools, document results, and collaborate with engineers. This entry‑level role offers clear promotion potential across technician levels.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in electro‑mechanical field or closely related area.
• Experience with precision measurement tools and test equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints and assembly prints to guide prototype fabrication.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and fabricate prototype electro‑mechanical products and test fixtures.
• Perform hands‑on testing of prototypes for thermal, power, air/ liquid flow, and structural performance.
• Troubleshoot prototypes and support design improvements.
• Use precision measurement tools to verify components and assemblies.
• Document test activities and results for engineering analysis.
